Best Shopify Store Finder Tools

Last verified July 15, 2026. TrendTrack and Minea tested on paid accounts; the other five tools checked on their live public pricing and product pages the same day.

We opened every tool on this list and asked it the same thing: find me real Shopify stores I can learn from.

Here is the line that splits the field. A real store finder lets you search and filter the whole Shopify universe, while a store x-ray only reads one shop you already have open.

Both are useful, but they answer different questions. So we ranked them by the job you are hiring them for, not by who has the flashiest homepage.

The best Shopify store search tool overall is TrendTrack’s Shops module: it searches 1.87M+ Shopify stores across 17 filters, with an estimated-revenue column and image search. For a free start, use Koala Inspector or MyIP.ms. For budget sales numbers, PPSPY.

Top 3 Best for Coverage Price from
TrendTrack Searching and filtering at scale 1.87M+ Shopify stores $59/mo
Minea Shops plus Meta and TikTok ad spy Meta and TikTok €49/mo
Store Leads Agencies building export lists 13.7M+ stores, 2.9M Shopify $75/mo

How we tested

We judged each tool on six questions. Can it search stores, or only read one you already opened? How many stores does it cover, and how deep are the filters?

Then three more: does it estimate revenue, is there a free way in, and what does the entry price actually buy? Those six answers decide where each tool lands.

TrendTrack and Minea were run on live paid accounts. The other five were checked on their public pricing and product pages on July 15, 2026.

One honesty note carries through the whole list. Every revenue or sales figure below is an estimate the tool models from outside signals, not a number pulled from a store’s real books.

Access check: TrendTrack includes its Shops module and the estimated-revenue column from Starter ($59/mo). Minea gates its Boutiques module to Premium (€99/mo), so its cheapest plan cannot browse stores at all.

Search and filter the whole Shopify universe

This is the real store-finder job: start from nothing and surface a shortlist of stores that match a niche, a price band, a traffic trend or a tech stack. Three tools do it, and only one does it deeply.

1. TrendTrack: search 1.87M stores by 17 filters

TrendTrack is the only tool here that treats every Shopify store as a searchable database. You filter by 17 parameters: 17 niche categories with live counts, traffic and traffic growth, product count and best-seller price, visitor country, theme, installed apps, pixels, Shopify plan and Trustpilot score.

The visitor-country filter alone has three modes, main market, among markets and exclude, which is how you separate a US-first brand from one that just gets some US traffic. Then you sort the results by fastest growing, most live ads or most monthly visits.

The Shops module filters 1.87M+ Shopify stores, and the Est. Revenue column reads a modeled $/month and $/day per store (here GrĂ¼ns at an estimated $3.3M/mo).

Two extras separate it from a plain database. The Est. Revenue column shows a modeled $/month and $/day per store, so you can rank candidates by how big they likely are.

And AI Image Search, shipped March 7, 2026, lets you paste a product photo and get back the stores selling it. Keep in mind those revenue figures are estimates, not audited numbers.

Click into any store and the picture deepens. You get traffic over time, visitor countries against targeted countries, detected pixels and apps, best-sellers with launch dates, and a Similar Shops list that turns one good find into ten.

Pros

  • Deepest filtering of any tool here
  • Estimated revenue plus image search
  • Store search included from Starter

Cons

  • No permanent free tier beyond the extension
  • Ad spy modules start on Pro, not Starter

On a paid account, the Shops module did the store-finding job better than everything else we tried, which is why it takes the top spot. For the module-by-module breakdown, see our full TrendTrack review.

2. Store Leads: the database for list-builders

Best for: agencies building lead lists

Store Leads indexes 13.7M+ ecommerce stores across many platforms, roughly 2.9M of them on Shopify. It tracks nearly 7,000 apps and more than a billion products, which makes its segmentation genuinely powerful.

It is built for agencies and sales teams that want to slice stores by apps, tech and traffic, then pull the list out for outreach.

The catch is the price ladder. Browsing starts around $75/mo, but CSV export and API access are locked to the Pro plan at $250/mo. That is fine for B2B prospecting and steep for a solo dropshipper who just wants to scout niches.

3. MyIP.ms: the free reverse-IP finder

Best for: a free, zero-signup start

MyIP.ms is the old-school trick: it lists sites sharing Shopify’s IP ranges, so you can pull thousands of store domains for free with no account.

Do not expect finesse. There are no niche filters, no revenue estimates and no traffic sorting, just raw domains you have to qualify yourself. As a free seed list it works; as a research tool it stops early.

Check a store’s revenue and sales

Once you have a store in your sights, the next question is size. How much is it likely making, and which products are moving? Two tools lead here on price and focus.

4. PPSPY: budget sales tracking

Best for: budget sales tracking

PPSPY tracks estimated sales for 1M+ Shopify stores and shows a rolling 15-day sales estimate per store, plus product research pulled from a large product database. There is a free plan, and paid access opens at $19.9/mo (or $167/year).

It is the cheapest way to put estimated numbers on a competitor. The 15-day window is handy for spotting whether a store is trending up or cooling off before you commit to a product.

Coverage and filtering are thinner than a full database, and again the sales figures are modeled estimates, so read them as direction, not truth.

5. Minea: shops plus ad spy in one

Best for: shops plus Meta and TikTok ad spy

Minea pairs a Boutiques module, with an estimated daily revenue column, with genuine Meta and TikTok ad spy over 100M+ ads. If you want store data and creative research under one login, it is a tidy fit.

Minea trending shops table with an estimated daily revenue column next to monthly visits and Meta ads
Minea’s Boutiques module lists stores with an estimated daily revenue column (here $582 to $4k/day). Browsing it needs the Premium plan.

Two things to weigh. Minea has no Google Ads, no email spy and no Advertisers module, so its coverage is narrower than the leaders.

And its store browsing sits on Premium (€99/mo), since Starter (€49/mo) covers ads and products but not Boutiques. Annual billing drops the tiers to €34, €69 and €139.

Inspect one store’s apps, theme and products

Sometimes you already have the store open and just want its guts: theme, apps, best-sellers, rough sales. These two read a single shop rather than search the field, which makes them fast, cheap and limited in the same breath.

They pair well with a database. Use a finder to build your shortlist, then x-ray each store on the list to see exactly what it runs.

6. Koala Inspector: free single-store x-ray

Best for: a free single-store x-ray

Koala Inspector is a Chrome extension used by 250k+ merchants. Open any Shopify store, click it, and you see the theme, installed apps, best-sellers and estimated sales. The free tier covers 15 store checks a month; Premium is $22/mo for 220 checks and 50-store tracking.

It is the friendliest free way to dissect a store you already found. What it will not do is search the whole Shopify universe for you, that is not its job.

7. Commerce Inspector: keyword store search

Best for: keyword store search on a mid tier

Commerce Inspector (now Shine Commerce) tracks around 300k stores and lets you search Shopify shops by niche keyword, with estimated sales and traffic per result.

There is a limited Free tier, then Insights at about $49/mo and Inspector at about $99/mo for bulk tracking and history. Coverage is smaller than the leaders and the extension reviews are weak, so it lands as a secondary option.

How to choose your store finder

The right pick is mostly about one question: are you searching for stores, or reading one you already have?

Pick by your job

Search and filter millions of stores by niche, growth or revenue: TrendTrack.

Check a single store you already found, for free: Koala Inspector or MyIP.ms.

Put budget sales numbers on a competitor: PPSPY.

One more split decides it for a lot of people. If store research is really about copying what is working in the ad feed, you also want ad spy in the mix, and it is worth reading the best ad spy tools alongside this list.

Budget matters too, but less than people think. The free tools cap you on volume, not quality, so they are perfect while you are still learning what a good store looks like.

For most sellers the honest answer is to start free, then pay for search once you outgrow single-store checks. That is exactly the line where a full index earns its keep.

Find the next store yourself

Store lists go stale. The skill that does not is knowing how to surface fresh stores on demand, and that is a filtering job.

Inside TrendTrack’s Shops module, you stack filters: pick a niche, set traffic growth to rising over the last three months, add a best-seller price band, then sort by estimated revenue. In a minute you have a shortlist of stores climbing right now, not a snapshot from last year.

Or skip the filters entirely and drop a product photo into AI Image Search to see who already sells it. Found a winner? Open its Similar Shops tab and repeat, then export the whole shortlist when you are done.

FAQ

What is the best free Shopify store finder?

Koala Inspector (15 free store checks a month) and MyIP.ms (a free reverse-IP lookup) start at zero cost, and PPSPY has a free plan too. TrendTrack’s free Chrome extension x-rays any single store, and its Shops module runs from $59/mo for full search across 1.87M+ stores.

Can you search Shopify stores by niche or product?

Yes, TrendTrack filters 1.87M+ stores by 17 parameters, including 17 niche categories, best-seller price and traffic growth, and it adds image search. Commerce Inspector also offers keyword store search, while single-store extensions like Koala Inspector only read one open store.

How do these tools estimate a store’s revenue?

They model estimated revenue from signals like traffic, product count and pricing, not from a store’s real books. TrendTrack shows an estimated $/month and $/day figure, Minea an estimated daily revenue, and PPSPY a 15-day sales estimate. Treat every number as directional, not audited.

Is TrendTrack better than Minea for finding stores?

For store search, yes on access. TrendTrack includes its Shops module from Starter ($59/mo) and covers Meta, TikTok and Google ad data, while Minea gates its Boutiques module to Premium (€99/mo) and skips Google Ads and emails. Minea still bundles solid Meta and TikTok ad spy.

Do I need a paid tool to find Shopify stores?

No, to start. Free options like MyIP.ms, Koala Inspector’s free tier and TrendTrack’s extension find and read stores. Paid tools earn their price when you need to filter millions of stores, sort by estimated revenue or growth, and export shortlists at scale.
