Start with TrendTrack

The two tools at a glance

Both sell the same pitch to Shopify sellers: an all-in-one spy suite for ads, products and stores. Winning Hunter leans into ad creatives and AI, with a Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest ad library and a Magic AI layer for analyzing what is scaling.

TrendTrack leans into coverage and depth: three ad platforms including Google, a 1.87M-store index, real EU spend, and a brand tracker that follows a competitor’s entire funnel. New to it? Here is our full TrendTrack review for the long version.

TrendTrack’s Ads library spans three platforms, Meta, TikTok and Google, across 340M+ indexed ads and filterable by Ad Rank. Winning Hunter’s third platform is Pinterest, not Google (checked July 2026).

Same order of magnitude on raw ad volume, then the two split on which platforms they see and how deep they read them. Here is the full head-to-head, with the winner called on every row.

When TrendTrack wins

TrendTrack takes most of the rows above, and the reasons cluster around three things: a third ad platform, funnel depth, and automation.

Start with platforms. TrendTrack added Google Ads as a third source on July 1, 2026, so you can see a store’s Google ads next to its Meta and TikTok ones. Winning Hunter covers Meta, TikTok and Pinterest, but no Google. If you want the mechanics behind that data, here is how Google Ads transparency works.

TrendTrack Brandtracker Hooks and Scripts tab listing competitor video ad hooks with a full script transcription, ad counts and max durations for a tracked store
The Brandtracker’s Hooks & Scripts tab transcribes a competitor’s video ads across the whole brand, not one ad at a time (Gymshark tracker, July 2026).

Then there is depth. Point the Brandtracker at a store and it follows the whole funnel: ten Meta sub-tabs, a Gantt timeline of every ad’s lifespan, landing-page previews, whitelisted partnership ads, TikTok ads and organic content, plus a 6.08M-email swipe file. Winning Hunter’s Magic AI analyzes individual ads well, but it does not read a competitor’s emails or map their entire ad account this way.

TrendTrack also scores creatives. Its Ad Rank, shipped January 29, 2026, ranks the winning ads in a niche even without EU impression data, so you are reading a leaderboard, not a wall of live creatives.

There is a data layer Winning Hunter has no answer to as well. TrendTrack reads real EU and UK ad spend from transparency rules, with a configurable CPM and impression demographics, and it carries a 2.49M-page Advertisers index that flags which pages launched the most ads in the last 14 days. That is how you catch a competitor scaling before the creatives are obvious.

Last, automation. TrendTrack shipped a public API and MCP server on April 28, 2026, with 10,000 credits a month on every plan. You can pipe scaling-ad alerts into Claude, n8n or Slack. Winning Hunter has no comparable API or MCP layer.

TrendTrack wins when your job is serious ad spy across platforms, whole-funnel tracking, or automating any of it.

When Winning Hunter wins

This is not a shutout. There are real cases where Winning Hunter is the smarter buy, and the first one is price.

Winning Hunter puts ad spy behind its cheapest door. Its Basic plan at $49/mo already includes Facebook ads, TikTok Shop and Meta advertisers. TrendTrack gates its Ads module to Pro ($89/mo), so the cheapest way to spy on ads is genuinely Winning Hunter, not TrendTrack.

It also has a platform TrendTrack does not: Pinterest. If Pinterest is a live channel for your niche, that alone can decide it.

Then there is the on-ramp. Winning Hunter’s Magic AI analyzes market saturation and competitor creatives for you, and product importing plus a no-card free trial lower the barrier to starting. Its most popular Standard plan ($79/mo) advertises up to 40% off on annual billing, which lands it near $47/mo, cheaper than TrendTrack Pro on the sticker.

Winning Hunter’s public plans: Basic $49, Standard $79, Enterprise $249 a month, covering Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest (verified July 2026).

Winning Hunter pros

  • Ad spy from the $49 Basic plan
  • Pinterest ads, which TrendTrack lacks
  • Magic AI creative and saturation analysis
  • Product importing and a no-card free trial

Winning Hunter cons

  • No Google Ads, no TikTok organic
  • No email spy, no whole-funnel timeline
  • No public API or MCP automation
  • Top Enterprise plan jumps to $249/mo

Product research is the other place Winning Hunter feels lighter to start with. It is built to surface creatives and importable products fast, where TrendTrack works from the store side instead.

TrendTrack Shops module with the estimated revenue column showing monthly and daily figures per store, a store counter near 1.87 million and the full filter bar with niche, products and more
TrendTrack finds products from the store side: its Est. Revenue column and 17 filters across 1.87M stores. Those revenue numbers are estimates, not audited (July 2026).

On the full pricing ladder, the two tools trade places depending on the tier. Winning Hunter is cheaper to get in and cheaper for ad spy; TrendTrack is cheaper at the top.

Plan tier TrendTrack Winning Hunter
Entry $59 ($41 annual) $49 Basic
Mid (full ad spy) $89 Pro ($62 annual) $79 Standard
Top $149 Business, Agency $200 $249 Enterprise

Gating check: TrendTrack’s Ads and Advertisers modules start on Pro ($89); Starter ($59) covers Shops, two Brandtrackers and the extension. Winning Hunter’s Basic ($49) has ad spy but limited filters, and Pinterest plus its full filter set start on Standard ($79).

Winning Hunter wins when budget is tight, when you sell on Pinterest, or when AI-led creative and product research matters more than funnel depth.

When neither is the clear answer

Some jobs do not favor either tool, and it is worth saying so.

If your entire budget is zero right now, skip both for a week and use free public tools first. The Google Ads Transparency Center and Meta’s Ad Library cost nothing, and either paid tool makes more sense once you know what you are looking for.

  • Pinterest-only seller who never touches Meta or Google: Winning Hunter, but confirm the channel is worth a subscription first.
  • Pure Google Ads researcher with no Shopify spying: a dedicated Google tool may fit better than either.
  • You just want product ideas, not competitor intelligence: a cheaper product-database tool can do that job alone.

Both TrendTrack and Winning Hunter earn their keep when you are actively spying on competitors and scaling paid traffic, not when you need a single narrow feature.

The verdict

Same category, different center of gravity, so the honest answer splits by who you are.

If you scale on paid ads, run an agency, or want to read a competitor’s real spend, ad rank and video hooks across three platforms including Google, then automate it through an API, TrendTrack is the tool, and ad spy unlocks on Pro ($89/mo). If you are budget-conscious, sell on Pinterest, or want AI-led creative and product research to start, Winning Hunter from $49/mo is a fair, cheaper pick.

FAQ

Is TrendTrack better than Winning Hunter?

It depends on the job. TrendTrack covers three ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google), tracks a competitor’s whole funnel with video-hook transcripts, spies on emails, and is programmable via API and MCP; it starts at $59/mo and ad spy unlocks on Pro ($89). Winning Hunter is better for cheaper ad-spy entry, Pinterest ads and AI-driven creative research, from $49/mo.

Is Winning Hunter cheaper than TrendTrack?

At the door, yes for ad spy: Winning Hunter’s Basic is $49/mo with Facebook and TikTok Shop ads, while TrendTrack gates its Ads module to Pro ($89). But TrendTrack Pro adds Google Ads, an Advertisers index, an email swipe file and API access. Winning Hunter’s full-platform Standard plan is $79/mo, and its top Enterprise plan ($249) sits above TrendTrack Business ($149).

Does Winning Hunter track Google Ads?

No. Verified on winninghunter.com in July 2026, Winning Hunter covers Facebook/Meta, TikTok and Pinterest ads, not Google. TrendTrack added Google Ads as a third platform on July 1, 2026, so it shows a store’s Google ads next to its Meta and TikTok ones. If Google Ads spy matters, that gap is decisive.

Does Winning Hunter cover Pinterest ads?

Yes, and that is a real edge. Winning Hunter’s Standard plan ($79/mo) adds Pinterest alongside Facebook and TikTok. TrendTrack does not spy on Pinterest at all; its three platforms are Meta, TikTok and Google. If Pinterest is a core channel for you, Winning Hunter has the coverage TrendTrack lacks.

Which is better for beginners and product research?

Winning Hunter leans product-first, with Magic AI, product importing and a no-card free trial, so it is a gentle on-ramp. TrendTrack approaches products from the store side (a 1.87M-store index, Est. Revenue and AI Image Search) and is stronger once you scale on paid ads. Treat all estimated-revenue figures, on both tools, as estimates, not audited numbers.
